Robots in Disguise in the UK
Kit Tang sent an email to Hasbro UK inquiring as to the chance of RID being imported in the near future. Here is their response: Further to your recent enquiry regarding Transformers 'Robots In Disguise'. I can confirm that the Transformers are on range for 2002. They will only be available to purchase at the beginning of 2002. We can confirm that they should be available in your local toy shops around the same time. Thank you for your interest in the above product. If you require any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Luckily for UK fans, the end of Beast Machines does not mean the end of Transformers. -Zac

The Hunt Continues...
Yours truly has just received another e-mail from Joel of BigBadToyStore regarding the store's recent and future shipments. BBTS should be receiving Blast Punch Optimus Primal by mid-May and Battle Unicorn by mid to late May. Start checking your local stores, as Transformer toys usually hit the general market a week or so before the online stores receive their shipments. In other Transformer news from BBTS, BBTS raised the price on their Hot Rod re-release and they have acquired more Ironhide and Ratchet exclusive re-issues that are currently for pre-order.

RiD will be coming to Canada too!
SHOCKWAVE of the AllSpark has managed to work things around right and get YTV to pick up RiD, so all you Canadians that don't get FOX will still be getting a happy-fun dose of Transformers when us Americans do.

Beast machines Confirmed to be Canceled in the UK
Optimus Prime of the Matrix eZine has finally found concrete proof, from Hasbro itself, that the Beast Machines line will no longer be carried across the pond. Hopefully Robots in Disguise will be carried, but for now, it appears Brits will have to resort to importing for the latest Battle for the Spark toys.

BLUE Transmetal 2 Megatron?
A very strange auction on eBay. It appears to be sealed and MIB, and by all indications, not a knockoff. Could this be a Botcon Exclusive? A repaint thats yet to hit stores? A fanmade repaint tucked neatly back into his box? -Zac

IGN Liked the Transformers Comics...
And they decided to write a nice li'l article, too. Heck, they even reference an article by our good buddy Mike, a former IGN contributor.

More Prime statue information...
A few weeks ago, we showed you a site offering pre-orders on Transformers Statues. That site has since disappeared, but the folks running it have relocated to Hard Hero, and now have some more solid info on the release. This Prime picture also appears in the new issue of Previews magazine (thanks to Shad for the tip) and a new ad banner on Botcon Beyond lead us to this page (thanks to TheGuruNow) -Zac

More on Disney-Hasbro Joining Forces
Dr. Archeville has pointed me to more on the combinations of the two powerhouse companies, and it appears that the companies will be combining their interests as far as toylines are concerned before a full acquisition.

Heroes of Cybertron - A flash movie
Newgrounds.com has this excellent flash movie up on their site, with a cool flashback sort of feel to it. If your computer can handle it, I'd recommend checking it out.

Hasbro to Merge With Disney and Coca-Cola?
Dr. Archeville of the AUG told me about Hasbro's Annual Report. It's in PDF format, which means many of you can't read it. Inside are many fiscal notes blaming Hasbro's poor showing in 2000 on the fading popularity in Pokemon and Star Wars, but has one very interesting note: Disney is interested in acquiring Hasbro. Disney has also shown an interest in acquiring Coca-Cola, the crappy alternative to Pepsi, which rules. This information could have a huge effect on TransFans in the near future...
